These words have spiritual significance:
If you're is selfishness, you ask what your country can do for you.
If you're in love of others, you ask what you can do for your country.
We can easily extend these famous words to our relationship with others and to our relationship with God:
Ask not what others can do for you, ask what you can do for others.
If you're in selfishness, you ask what others can do for you.
If you're in love of others, you ask what you can do for others.
Ask not what God can do for you, ask what you can do for God.
If you're in selfishness, you ask what God can do for you.
If you're in love of others, you ask what you can do for God.
What can you do for God? Follow his command: love one another.
