Gender and Sexuality In The Bible and The Quran

Gender and sexuality is an important part of humanity. There are two genders (male and female) and there are different sexual orientations - heterosexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual/transgendered, asexual and others.

There's a lot of confusion about gender and sexuality, especially when it comes to religion, The Bible and The Quran. The confusion stems from the fact that people think The Bible and The Quran are talking about our physical world when in fact the books are talking about our internal qualities.

Before we can understand the true meaning of gender and sexuality, we first have to understand the concept of internality and externality.

INTERNALITY AND EXTERNALITY

There are two realms to consider:
1. The realm of our inner qualities, our internality, and
2. The realm of our physical world, our externality

Internality and externality are connected in two ways:
1. Our internal qualities create our external physical world, and
2. Our internal qualities are represented by our external physical world

1. Internality Creates Externality

There is a cause and effect relationship between our inner qualities and our external physical world: who we are on the inside determines what we create on the outside.

If our inner qualities are selfish, we create a selfish world. If our inner qualities are altruistic, we create an altruistic world.

Today, everyone's immersed in selfishness, seeking to benefit themselves. Because we're selfish, we've created a selfish world, which now lies broken.

To fix the world, we have to change our inner qualities from selfishness to love of others, seeking to benefit others instead of ourselves.

If our internal qualities change, the world will change because we'll rebuild the world based on our new inner qualities -  mutual responsibility and concern for others.

2. Internality is Represented by Externality

Our internal qualities are made up of desires, thoughts, intentions, emotions and other forces. Our physical world is made up of land, oceans, rocks, plants, animals, people, air etc.

While they're different, they're interconnected. There is a parallel story that exists between them, in that the physical world represents the journey of our internal qualities.

For example, the physical ocean represents a force within you called 'ocean'. What you see outside of you represents something inside of you.

With respect to gender, if you see a man, he represents a force within you called 'man'. If you see a woman, she represents a force within you called 'woman'.

With respect to sexuality, if you see a lesbian, she represent a force within you called 'lesbian'. Everything that you see outside of you represents a force within you.

This means that we're all interconnected. I'm a part of your physical world so I represent a force within you. You're a part of my physical world so you represent a force within me.

I tell the story of your internality and you tell the story of my internality.

In fact my entire world represents my internal qualities and your entire world represents your internal qualities.

If my world tells my internal story and I'm different from you, and your world tells your internal story and you're different from me, we must be living in two different worlds. In fact, there must be many different worlds because we're all different.

Since I'm in your world and you're in my world, our worlds must overlap to some degree, but beyond that, they're different worlds.

In this way, everything you see outside of you is LITERALLY you, because it tells the story of your internal qualities. You and your physical world are ONE.

If you're racist, sexist, homophobic or hate anyone or anything outside of you, you actually hate yourself because everything outside of you represents your inner qualities.

GENDER

Gender can be very confusing for two reasons:
1. Gender is relative, meaning it's determined relative to something else, and
2. Gender can change.

I'll explain.

There are two forces in Nature, a male force and a female force. The male force is God and the female force is all of creation.

The male force wants to give and the female force wants to receive. As such the action of giving is generally considered male and the action of receiving is generally considered female.

But there are exceptions: if you're giving to receive this is considered female and if you're receiving to give, this is considered male. So giving is not always considered male and receiving is not always considered female. Confusing, I agree.

Relative to God, all of creation is considered female and God is considered male. In front of God, men and women are considered equal because we are all creation.

In physical creation we see men and women and barring any exceptions, genders don't change.

Physical men and women have internal qualities and these qualities have male and female genders. Since our internal qualities change, our internal genders change.

If I see a physical man, he represents a force within me call 'man'. If I see a physical woman, she represents a force within me called 'woman'.

A physical man has an internal male force and an internal female force. A physical woman has an internal male force and an internal female force.

With respect to our internal qualities, the quality of selfishness is generally considered female and the quality of altruism/giving/love of others is generally considered male.

Here's an example of how physical gender is connected to the gender of our internal qualities:
1. A physical woman with an internal quality of selfishness is considered female.
2. A physical woman with an internal quality of love of others is considered male.
3. A physical man with an internal quality of selfishness, is considered female.
4. A physical man with an internal quality of love of others, is considered male.

But of course gender is relative. Within the quality of selfishness and altruism are different states, each with its relative gender:
   1. Selfishness (female)
       a. Receiving to Receive (female) - You receive thinking only of yourself
       b. Bestowing to Receive (male) - You give to get praise, glory, honor, status
   2. Altruism (male)
       c. Bestowing to Bestow (female) - You give with no consideration for yourself
       d. Receiving to Bestow (male) - You receive thinking of others

The Tree of Life explains our internal qualities and shows how gender is relative:

1. Keter - is considered male

2. Chocmma (Aba, Father) - is considered male
This state is called receiving to bestow, and is considered adulthood.
This state is the father, so it's considered male.
However, this state uses female vessels, so it's considered female.
Also, this state receives, which is considered female.
But because it's receiving to bestow, it's considered male.
In summary, this state is sometimes called male and sometimes called female.
    Confusing, I agree.

3. Bina (Ima, Mother) - is considered female
This state is called bestowing to bestow, and is considered childhood.
This state is the mother, so it's considered female.
However, this state uses male vessels, so it's considered male.
Also, this state gives/bestows, which is considered male.
But because it's bestowing to bestow, it's considered female.
In summary, this state is sometimes called male and sometimes called female.
    Confusing, I agree.

4. Zeir Anpin (son) - is considered male, but also has female forces
5. Malchut (daughter) - is considered female, but also has male forces

It's important to note that there's a difference between receiving and selfishness. Receiving isn't the problem, selfishness is. You can actually receive in order to give as in the state of receiving to bestow. Selfishness is when you think only about yourself.

The purpose of creation is to bring us from selfishness to altruism/love of others so we can know God's qualities. Our internal qualities are very important because they determine our proximity to God. If our internal qualities are in selfishness we're considered far from God and if our internal qualities are in love of others we're considered close to God.

The Bible and The Quran speak only about our internal qualities and how we can change from selfishness to love of others to get closer to God.

Whenever a man or woman is mentioned in The Bible or The Quran, it's not talking about our physical world, it's talking about our internal qualities.

The purpose of this detailed explanation on gender is not to intentionally confuse, but to show that gender is a relative thing and when reading The Bible or Quran, any references to males or females has to be taken in context to understand specifically what is being explained.

Gender in The Bible

Here's a verse from The Bible: "23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Saviour. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." (Ephesians 5:23-24, NIV)

The husband (male) is the quality of love of others (male) and the wife (female) is the quality of selfishness (female). To say that the husband is the head of the wife is to say that the quality of love of others is greater than the quality of selfishness and we should submit to the quality of love of others instead of the quality of selfishness.

Gender in The Quran

Here's a verse from The Quran: "Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand." (Quran 4:34, Sahih)

Men (male) is the quality of love of others (male) and women (female) is the quality of selfishness (female). To say that men are in charge of women is to say that the quality of love of others is greater than the quality of selfishness and we should be in the quality of love of others, not the quality of selfishness.

Righteous (male) women (female) are those desires that have changed from selfishness (female) to love of others (male). Whereas arrogant (female) women (female) are those desires that are still in selfishness (female).

The Quran gives advice on how to convert selfish desires (arrogant women) to the quality of love of others - advise them, forsake them in bed, and strike them. These are internal discernments where you work to rise above your selfish nature: advise them (acknowledge that the desires are selfish), forsake them in bed (do not be with them in the quality of selfishness) and strike them (force them to convert from selfishness to the quality of love of others).

This verse is very controversial because people think The Quran is saying you should strike/hit a woman. But The Quran is not talking about our physical world, it's talking about our internal qualities. The arrogant woman is our selfish nature and The Quran is saying that we should convert our selfish nature to love of others. The Quran is not saying that you should hit a woman.

SEXUALITY

Remember, our internal qualities create our physical world and our physical world represents our internal qualities through parallel stories.

Sexuality is one type of parallel story. The different types of sexual orientations that you see outside of you represents specific forces within you.

Our inner qualities are continually changing as we move from selfishness to love of others. This means you can change from a lesbian, to a bisexual, to a gay, to a transgendered all within a few minutes as you move from one internal force to another.

Here's an explanation of some sexual orientations:

Heterosexual

As our internal qualities change from selfishness to love of others, there's an internal state where a female force connects to a male force. This is represented in the physical world as a heterosexual.

Lesbian

As our internal qualities change from selfishness to love of others, there's an internal state where a female force connects to a female force. This is represented in the physical world as a lesbian.

Gay

As our internal qualities change from selfishness to love of others, there's an internal state where a male force connects to a male force. This is represented in the physical world as a gay.

Bisexual

As our internal qualities change from selfishness to love of others, there's an internal state where a female force connects to a male and female force. This is represented in the physical world as a bisexual.

Transsexual/Transgendered

As our internal qualities change from selfishness to love of others, there's an internal state where a female force transforms to a male force. This is represented in the physical world as a transgendered.

There's more to consider:

Asexual

Everyone has an empty space in their heart that only God can fill. In the physical realm people try to fill that empty space with various pleasures (food, family, money, honor, knowledge, power), and sexual pleasure. This only leads to greater disappointment as people remain unfulfilled. People are looking for love, but don't find it.

We hear a lot about having a healthy sex life, which may lead people to feel obligated to have sex. But it's okay to admit you're not interested in sex - perhaps you never were, no longer are, it doesn't fulfill you anymore, you're not attracted to people sexually or there may be other reasons. It's okay to say you're asexual.

If you're no longer interested in sex and all the pleasures of this physical world no longer satisfy you, it means you're ready for a new kind of pleasure - spiritual pleasure.

Rapture - Spiritual Pleasure

Spiritual pleasure is real. It's very intense and is greater than all other pleasures combined.

You acquire spiritual pleasure by changing your inner qualities from selfishness to love of others, by seeking to benefit others instead of yourself.

Changing your inner qualities to love of others connects you to love, love connects you to Godliness, Godliness connects you to God and God connects you to spiritual pleasure and fulfillment.

Since you were always looking for love, you become fulfilled in two ways:
1. You find love and God fills the empty space in your heart, and
2. You sense intense spiritual pleasure that satisfies you in ways nothing else ever could.

The Bible and The Quran speak only about our internal qualities. Whenever sexuality is mentioned, it's not talking about our physical world, it's talking about our inner qualities.

Sexuality in The Bible

Here's a verse from The Bible, "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable." (Leviticus 18:22, NIV)

This verse is often quoted with reference to homosexuality, but remember The Bible doesn't speak about our physical world, it speaks only about our internal qualities.

This verse is layered in meaning and it's talking about the altruistic qualities of bestowing to bestow and receiving to bestow.

Having sexual relations with a man is using the male vessels of bestowing to bestow.
Having sexual relations with a woman is using the female vessels of receiving to bestow.

First, it's saying that the internal actions required to be in the state of bestowing to bestow are different from the internal actions required to be in the state of receiving to bestow.

Second, it's saying that remaining in the state of bestowing to bestow is detestable, because this state is considered childhood and we should grow to the state of receiving to bestow, adulthood.

Genesis 18 tells the story of Lot, Sodom and Gomorrah, how people lusted after men instead of women. As a result they were destroyed.

The men are the forces of bestowing to bestow and the women are the forces of receiving to bestow. The desire wants to stay in childhood (lusting after male vessels) and not grow to adulthood (using female vessels). In the end, the state of childhood is destroyed and the state of adulthood is allowed to flourish.

The Bible tells the story of the development of our internal qualities as they change from childhood to adulthood. The Bible wants us be adults and have a closer relationship with God and not remain as children.

Sexuality in The Quran

The story of Lot also appears in The Quran (for example in Quran 7:80-81) and shows how people lusted after men instead of women.

The Quran tells the story of the development of our internal qualities as they change from childhood to adulthood. The Quran wants us to be adults and have a closer relationship with God and not remain as children.

SUMMARY

We have seen how our internal qualities are connected to our physical world, we have seen how gender is a relative thing, we have understood the meaning of sexuality and we have seen the true meaning of gender and sexuality in The Bible and The Quran.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bring us out of the quality of selfishness into the quality of love of others. May He bring us to Godliness, to love, to Him and to spiritual pleasure and fulfillment.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.

A Letter To Barack Obama - The United States

From:
Carter Kagume

To:
Barack Obama
President of the United States of America

Dear Barack,

The entire world is going to go through a major change. Our internal qualities are going to change from selfishness to bestowal and we're going to seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Currently, the entire world is immersed in selfishness, everyone's seeking to benefit themselves with no regard for others. Soon, this will change. We'll become connected with each other in mutual concern and responsibility and everyone will seek to benefit others instead of themselves.

The United States of America has a key role to play in this transformation. The fifty United States represent wholeness, unity, cohesion and solidarity. They come together to create one nation.

The United States of America has to become an example for the entire world. Your country has to transform from selfishness to bestowal and begin to set altruistic examples for others to follow.

The United States of America currently engages in many selfish acts and interests, within its borders and outside its borders, harming citizens and foreigners alike.

This behaviour has to stop.

As the president of The United States, your role is not to bring your country to corporeal prosperity, but to spiritual prosperity.

This means changing your ways from selfishness to bestowal, setting altruistic examples for others to follow, seeking to benefit others instead of yourselves and being genuinely concerned for the welfare and well being of your citizens and the entire world.

The whole world is one family and the American people are a part of that family. The American people need to realize that they're a part of the world, they're not above the rest of the world.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide you, may He lead you and may He show you the way.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.
Carter

The Role of Women in Society Has To Change

The role of women in society has to change. Women have to change from selfishness to concern for others, seeking to benefit others instead of themselves.

Women comprise over 50% of the world's population, yet their contribution to the well-being of the world has yet to be seen. Women have yet to realize their true potential.

In front of God, men and women are equal, yet there are obvious differences between men and women, especially when it comes to family matters and children.

With growing consumerism and the rising cost of living, both parents now work in order to sustain a certain standard of living. Women left the home to work, to seek greater fulfillment, status, and new experiences, trying to live up to their full potential.

However, due to the lack of continuous parental care, the lack of basic lessons on etiquette and ethics, the lack of their mother's nurturing influence, children have grown up without the appropriate parental supervision. The children, the family and society have suffered as a result.

Women's role in the family was also greatly undervalued and underappreciated, which is why many women left the home, unaware of the impact it would have.

Today it's become clear that women's role in the family is a key component for raising healthy children, having a healthy family and maintain a healthy society.

Society as a whole needs to change the way it views 'moms', 'stay-at-home-mothers' and 'housewives'. The role typically has a negative connotation. However, women's role in the home needs to be seen, valued and appreciated as one of the most important roles in the world.

While women, especially mothers, have natural nurturing instincts, today it's still rooted in selfishness because mothers protect their own children, not the children of others.

If women change their qualities from selfishness to concern for others, and seek to benefit others instead of themselves, women can use their natural nurturing instincts to take care of the whole world. The whole world is one family.

Women need to:
1. Accept that they are a powerful force with true potential to change the whole world
2. Use their natural nurturing instincts to look after the whole world
3. Understand they have a big positive influence on their men and on their children
4. See themselves as teachers and guides in the home
5. Set examples for their children on how to benefit other
6. Teach their children how to benefit others
7. Support the lessons their children learn at school on how to benefit others
8. Understand that how they raise their children affects the whole world
9. Teach their children skills around the home, so they can use them to benefit others

Women need to change from selfishness to love of others, and use their natural nurturing instincts to benefit the whole world.

The Role of Parents In Society Has To Change

Parents have to change from the quality of selfishness to the quality of love of others. Parents need to seek to benefit others (their partners and especially their children) instead of seeking to benefit themselves.

Benefiting others doesn't mean making others happy. It means doing what's good for them.

Unfortunately today, many parents have put their children in daycare while they work long hours away from home. By the time they get home, they're exhausted. They have no time or energy for their children and the little time they spend together is rushed.

Putting children in daycare is not the answer. Having someone else raise your children, while you sell your time and energy to someone else is not the right way.

Many parents feel obligated to work in order to make money for the family and have a comfortable standard of living.

Yet children need their parents. They don't need fancy houses or fancy cars, they need time with their loving parents. There is no better substitute.

Parents need to make the necessary arrangements, changes their lives, simplify their lives, scale back, switch jobs, work part time, do whatever it takes to spend more time with their children.

Parents need to prioritize their children and prioritize their role as parents. Remember, children are the future generation. How they are raised by their parents affects the whole world.

Parents need to:
1. Prioritize their role as parents and take full responsibility for raising their children
2. Make arrangements in their lives to work less and spend more time with their children
3. Understand that children need their parents, there is no better substitute
4. Stop putting their children in daycare and raise their children themselves
5. Set examples for their children on how to benefit other
6. Teach their children how to benefit others
7. Support the lessons their children learn at school on how to benefit others
8. Understand that how they raise their children affects the whole world
9. Teach their children skills around the home, so they can use them to benefit others

Parents need to change from selfishness to love of others and they need to teach their children the principles of mutual guarantee, how to benefit others.

The Film and Television Industry Has To Change

The film and television industry has to change from selfishness to love of others. All people who work in the film and television industry have to seek to benefit others instead of themselves.

The entire film and television industry has to:
1. Seek to benefit others (including viewers) instead of seeking personal profit and gain
2. Eliminate violent, abusive, inhumane, undignified, vulgar, cruel and immoral content
3. Create content that sets examples of how to benefit others
4. Be a positive influence on society

Our social environment has a big influence on us. As part of our social environment, the film and television industry needs to take responsibility for the influence it has on society.

Negative content influences society in a negative way and positive content influences society in a positive way.

The film and television industry has to change from selfishness to love of others, it has to be based on the principles of mutual guarantee, where everyone seeks to benefit others instead of themselves.

The Political System Has To Change

The political system at all levels (federal, provincial, state, county, municipal and city) have to change from selfishness to love of others. Politicians have to seek to benefit others instead of themselves.

The entire political system has to:
1. Use a round-table format for discussions, where all members are considered equal
2. Be 100% transparent, even using a reality show format for continuous video feed
3. Deliberate and discuss all issues to demonstrate that all issues have been considered
4. Prioritize actions based on emergencies and need
5. Find a way to include input from all citizens so everyone is given a chance to participate
6. Put an end to all lobby groups and forces that put pressure on the decision making process

Transparency will build trust and when citizens are allowed to participate in governance issues, they'll be more likely to cooperate with decisions even if their personal preferences are overlooked. This will reduce resentment because everyone will feel that they're a part of the process.

The political system has to change from selfishness to love of others, it has to be based on the principles of mutual guarantee, where everyone seeks to benefit others instead of themselves.

A Letter To The Whole World - How To Manage Change

From:
Carter Kagume

To:
The whole world

Dear world,

The entire world is going to go through a major change, a change that will affect us all.

Change can be stressful and some people may struggle to adjust. It's important to manage change by clearly communicating what's going to change and by helping people cope.

WHAT'S GOING TO CHANGE?  OUR INNER QUALITIES

Our internal qualities are going to change. We're going to change from the quality of selfishness to the quality of love of others. We're going to seek to benefit others instead of seeking to benefit ourselves.

Once people's inner qualities change, the entire world will change because it will affect how we interact with each other.

To date, the entire world has been built on the quality of selfishness. Once our inner qualities change from selfishness to love of others, we'll rebuild the entire world on the quality of love of others.

As such, the entire world will change. All social, political and economic systems will be affected and life as we know it will change.

CHANGE CAN BE STRESSFUL

Nobody likes change. It can be a stressful time because we become set in our ways and used to old familiar routines.

Change brings new standards, new expectation, new methods and practices, new ways of doing things and this can push people out of their comfort zone.

This can lead to anxiety, apprehension, uncertainty, stress, tension, fear of the unknown and the whole process can be a little scary.

COPING WITH CHANGE

The change that's about to take place is inevitable; it has to take place: we have to change our qualities from selfishness to love of others.

Here are a few ways to cope with the change:

1. Since our inner qualities will change from selfishness to concern for others, think about how others will benefit. Don't think about yourself or how you're being inconvenienced, let go of yourself and think of others.

2. Don't fight or resist the change that's about to take place. Accept it and allow it to happen.

3.  Be a part of the solution by becoming actively involved in the process. Our social environment has a big influence on us; as part of your social environment, set altruistic examples for others to follow. Be a positive influence by engaging in acts that benefit others.

4. If you feel overwhelmed, turn to friends and family for support. Remember, we're all in this together, everyone will be affected. Turn to others for support and in turn be a support for others.

Going through a change can be a trying time, but managing change can help people cope. There is nothing to fear, don't worry, everything will be okay. We'll succeed, but only together.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob lead us, guide us and show us the way.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.

A Letter to Employers and Employees Around The World

From:
Carter Kagume

To:
Employers and employees around the world

Dear employers and employees,

Work is an important part of our lives, but unfortunately today many people have become slaves to their jobs. People work 8, 10, 14, even 16 hours a day, living to work instead of working to live. It's modern day slavery.

Our jobs have robbed us of our time and energy and we have nothing left to give our families and friends. Yet we need our jobs for income, to keep up with the expected standards of living and to make better lives for ourselves.

However, our present work/life balance is not sustainable. Life is not meant to be lived working 16 hours a day. That's not life, it's slavery.

Something has to change. The entire work environment has to undergo a major overhaul. People need to live their lives and begin to realize their true potential in mutual responsibility and concern for others.

A WORK ENVIRONMENT CREATED BY SELFISHNESS

The current work environment has been created by the quality of selfishness, everyone is seeking to benefit themselves - employers are seeking to maximize profits and employees are seeking to maximize earnings.

The harsh realities of many work environments express this quality of selfishness - aggressive competition, long work hours, unrealistic deadlines and deliverables, interpersonal conflicts, tension, boredom, unhappiness and stress.

If you own a company or organization that's intentionally hurting it's partners, customers, and employees, one that takes advantage of others, seeks to maximize profits at the expense of others, neglects the true needs of others, is engaged in usury, charges excessive interest, has hidden fees, is engaged in fraud, deceptive marketing practices, unrealistic contracts with confusing fine print, corruption, mismanagement, misrule and other negative actions, it's time to stop this selfish behaviour.

If you're an employee working for a company or organization that's engaged in the selfish negative behaviour described above, it's time to rethink your position there.

A WORK ENVIRONMENT CREATED BY CONCERN FOR OTHERS

The work environment should be based on the quality of concern for others, seeking to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Employers should seek to benefit customers by providing high quality goods and services that meet the basic necessities for life. The goods and services should be priced fairly without overcharging to maximize profits.

Employers should seek to benefit employees by providing short work days (2-4 hours per day) and providing fair working conditions that create a healthy work/life balance.

Employees should work for companies and organizations that seek to benefit others, ones that provide goods and services that meet the basic necessities for life.

Employees should perform their jobs thinking of others. Think about how your work is benefiting others instead of thinking about what you're getting out of your job.

Don't work for yourself, work for others. Job satisfaction should come from how much you've benefited others instead of from how much you've benefited yourself.

The work environment has to undergo a major overhaul:

1.  Companies, organizations, employers and employees have to work on the principles of mutual guarantee, seeking to benefit others instead of themselves.

2.  Only companies and organizations that are focused on providing the basic necessities for life will exist. All superfluous companies and organizations that don't provide any value to others will cease to exist.

3. Aggressive competition and seeking to maximize profits will stop. Companies and organizations will provide goods and services almost at cost, because the focus will be on benefiting others instead of themselves. All negative business practices will stop.

The principles of mutual guarantee and reciprocal concern for others will change the work landscape:  profits will decrease, the price of goods and services will decrease, working hours will decrease and working conditions will improve.

The workplace will become harmonious as everyone seeks to benefit others. It will become a place of joy and happiness as people take pleasure from other people's pleasure, and happiness will come from other people's happiness.

The entire world is going to undergo this change. Every social, political and economical system will be affected. We will all seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Don't hang on to the old selfish paradigms, let go and allow the transformation that's coming to take place. Out with the old and in with the new. We will succeed, but only together.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide you.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.

A Letter To The Rich People Of The World

From:
Carter Kagume

To:
The rich people of the world

Dear rich people,

Money is an asset that has many positive benefits - you can buy goods and services, a sense of security, you can take care of yourself and you can live a comfortable life.

You can use money to benefit yourself or you can use it to benefit others. I'm asking you to use it to benefit others so we can take care of the whole world and begin to live as one family.

Money is energy and energy is potential. This letter is addressed to the rich because the rich have money, energy that can be used to help the whole world.

When money is consolidated in the hands of a few, it becomes a trapped resource. It's potential is wasted on serving the excessive consumerism of a few instead of serving the basic necessities of many. A few live in excessive abundance, while many suffer in poverty.

Today we glorify wealth and selfishness; soon we will glorify altruism, acts of kindness and compassion and acts of bestowal that seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

MONEY DOES NOT FULFILL

Money does not fulfill all desires. No matter how much you have, you remain strangely unfulfilled.

Today, people gain wealth at the expense of others. Fierce competition is driven by a "survival of the fittest" mentality, where one gains and another loses.

Gaining at the expense of others is nothing to be proud of. Whether you acquire your wealth through hard work, luck, deception, fraud, hereditary ties or family connections, feeling entitled to personal profit and gain while others suffer is totally unacceptable.

A bigger house, a newer car or a more exotic experience will not fulfill you. These pleasures are temporary and fleeting and pursuing them will only leave you more unfulfilled. You'll be disappointed because you expected fulfillment and didn't get it.

You are not your money, money is not your identity. You are a person with internal qualities and characteristics; how you use your money is the expression of who you are.

Breaking the psychological and emotional attached to money is hard to do. Yet, I'm asking you to do just that. Use your money to benefit others instead of yourself.

THE WORLD IS ONE FAMILY

The entire world is one big family made up of different family members that have different strengths and abilities. Families take care of one another and support each other.

Would you let a family member starve to death? Today there are billions of people in the world starving and suffering from undernutrition.

Would you let a family member go without proper medical care? Today there are millions of people without access to affordable health care or medication.

People suffer because money is consolidated in the hands of a few, because of rampant corruption, mismanagement, misrule, neglect and selfishness.

Every human being on the face of the planet is entitled to live a dignified life with basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, shelter and medical attention.

A few people can have a tremendous impact on the world. 1% of the world's adult population controls 40% of the world's wealth. The few 1% have the potential to help millions.

Your money can be used to benefit millions of people around the world, to bring them out of abject poverty and help solve the critical issues that world is facing today.

CRITICAL EMERGENCIES

Right now, the world faces critical emergencies - billions of people are starving from undernutrition, millions lack adequate drinking water, millions lack medication and millions live in slums and shanties.

These emergencies need to be deal with immediately. There is absolutely no reason why these critical problems exist in the world today. There is no excuse for it.

We have the intelligence, technology, education and training to deal with these issues. We are well informed and can't feign ignorance.

It will take teams of social scientists, business managers, organizers, technicians, health care workers, support staff and many others to solve these problems.

It can be done and your money can be used to help. By solving these critical issues, we'll bring humanity out of this state of critical distress up to an acceptable humane standard of living.

Once these critical issues have been solved, we can move on to improving life for everybody else on earth based on the principles of mutual guarantee and reciprocal concern for one another.

SOLUTION

I know what I'm asking you to do is hard, it may sound impossible, but I still have to ask.

Use your money to benefit others instead of yourself, help others instead of yourself. By doing so, you'll set an example for the entire world and influence others to do the same.

By seeking to benefit others you'll connect with them in mutual concern and reciprocity. Your fulfillment will come from their fulfillment, your happiness will come from their happiness.

Your legacy won't be about how much money you had, rather it'll be about how much you helped others and how many lives you changed for the better.

The whole world has to undergo this change, from selfishness to concern for others. We can all be heroes by actively engaging in this transformative process, by setting altruistic examples for others.

We will succeed, but only together.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide you. May His Name be glorified forever.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.
