"... the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21, NKJV)
What does it mean the kingdom of God is within you?
It means your citizenship in the kingdom of God is determined by your internal qualities.
God is love and love is when you seek to benefit others instead of yourself. If you think of others instead of yourself, you're in God's quality and God's kingdom, the kingdom of God.
Your internal qualities determine your proximity to God.
If you're in the quality of selfishness, seeking to benefit yourself with no regard for others, then you're considered far from God.
If you're in the quality of bestowal/love of others/altruism, seeking to benefit others instead of yourself, then you're considered near to God.
We need to change our internal qualities from selfishness to bestowal/love of others. We need to return to the quality of bestowal, we need to return to God in quality. Then we'll be in the kingdom of God.
