Abortion

If we abort a baby, male or female, it is recorded against us.

Some people feel that abortion in the event of rape or incest is justified. Yet this is man's rationalization, not God's.

Using the language of our internal qualities to explain rape, when the male quality of bestowal forces the female quality of selfishness to connect, it's a good thing because our internal qualities become similar to God's quality. This connects us to God and to each other.

Using the language of our internal qualities to explain incest, when the brother Zeir Anpin marries his sister Malchut, it's a good thing because our internal qualities become similar to God's quality. This connects us to God and to each other. As it is written, "You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride ..." (Song of Songs 4:9, NIV)

I'm not saying that people should go out and rape each other or sleep with their family members, I'm saying that things are not what they seem and our ways are not God's ways. God has a way of making negative things right.

Today we're immersed in the quality of selfishness seeking to benefit ourselves with no regard for others, we don't even care about our unborn babies.

Instead, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves - including seeking to benefit our unborn babies - and we should become connected with each other in mutual concern and responsibility.

In this realm, if a woman is raped and she becomes pregnant, or if she becomes pregnant through incest, it's a grievous act. However, killing the baby makes a bad situation worse because now murder has been committed. In this way, we pile on misery upon misery.

Instead, we should stop harming each other in any way and we should seek to benefit each other in every way.
