The language of The Quran is decisive.
When interpreted literally, it may cause some people to feel empowered to subjugate others. This is incorrect.
When interpreted correctly - in the language of our internal qualities - The Quran talks only about subjugating oneself. The Quran speaks only about how our internal qualities will grow in bestowal, from a state of childhood to a state of adulthood.
