Everything is done by The Creator: He puts you in ego and He puts you in bestowal.
When things are good, you want to connect with others. When things are bad, can you still connect with others? Can you still rise above your ego? Can you seek to benefit others instead of yourself, regardless of what state you're in?
You should get to a point where feeling good comes from being in adhesion with The Creator, regardless of what state you're in and regardless of how you feel, good or bad.
