There is no coercion in spirituality, meaning no one can force you to change your ways from selfishness to bestowal. It has to come from your heart, it has to come from within you, you have to want to do it. That is your free choice.
As it is written, "Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power ..." (Psalms 110:3, NKJV)
Cry out to The True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Ask him to change you and He will. God is with us and to Him we shall all return.
