Understanding Time

When the past, present and future and interconnected as one, what tense should I use?

For example, when Jesus said (past tense) that we should love one another [1] (present tense) He means (present tense) that we will unite (future tense) as one family.

That our internal qualities will change (future tense) from selfishness to bestowal and we will connect (future tense) with each other in mutual concern and responsibility.

From a spiritual point of view, time is connected to our internal qualities:

1. The Past - represents desires that have been converted from selfishness to bestowal. They're desires that are already in bestowal.
2. The Present - represents desires that are currently being converted from selfishness to bestowal.
3. The Future - represents desires that have yet to be converted from selfishness to bestowal. They're desires that are still in selfishness.

When all desires are converted from selfishness to bestowal, time will disappear because the past, present and future will unite as one. What will remain is a sense of eternality, the eternal I AM [2].

In addition, events that happened in the past, are happing now and will happen in the future. A sort of fractal of events in time.

As it is written, "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8, NIV)
