Many years ago I went to watch a movie with a friend, and some young
men sat behind us and started spitting in his hair. I didn't do anything, I
froze, almost embarrassed. Why didn't I say something to them? Why didn't I do
something? Because I'm not a hero, I'm a wimp.
There are times when I was brave and I stood up and fought for others, but there are times when I could have helped or protected others and I didn't.
I wish I'd fight for others all the time, be a real hero and protect others always, not stand idly by while others suffer.
Regrets are hard to live with, but then I remember that there is none else besides Him, and every event is meant to be.
In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves. God is with us and to Him we shall all return.
