We need to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. We need to rise above our egos, stop harming others, adopt each other's desires as our own and seek to benefit each other instead of ourselves. This is a state of cooperation rather than competition. It's more efficient, it consumes less resources and it will unite us in mutual bestowal.
Here's an example of competition versus cooperation:
John lives in Town A. He has to deliver cargo to Town B, which is 400 miles away. By the time he makes the 800 mile return trip, which takes him a long time, he's tired, he's used a lot gas, there's more wear and tear on his vehicle and he's isolated and lonely.
Mary lives in Town B. She has to deliver cargo to Town A, 400 miles away. After she's made the 800 mile return trip, which takes her a long time, she's exhausted, she's used a lot of gas, there's more wear and tear on her vehicle and she's isolated and lonely.
If they cooperate with each other, they'd both benefit:
If John drives 200 miles to a half-way point and Mary drives 200 miles to the same half way point, they trade cargo and drive the 200 miles home, they'd each only drive 400 miles, it would take them less time, they'd be less tired, they'd use less gas, there'd be less wear and tear on their vehicles and they'd be connected with each other in mutual bestowal.
Cooperation is more efficient than competition, it consumes less resources and it unites us in mutual bestowal.
