When you make a cake, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, meaning a cake is greater than the sum of its ingredients.
While individual ingredients make a cake - flour, butter, eggs, sugar, cocoa, baking powder etc., they lose their individuality and become one cake. This isn't a contradiction.
If we connect with each other in mutual bestowal and seek to benefit others instead of ourselves, we'll become something greater than the sum of all our parts.
We'll retain our individuality, but also lose our individuality as we unite as one. This isn't a contradiction because both can exist at the same time.
Just as all ingredients of a cake are equal yet different, we too are all equal yet different. No one is greater than on more important than the other, we just have different roles to play

A Prayer For All The Children Of The World
Ein Sof,
I pray for all the children of the world, that they may not suffer neglect, abuse, exploitation, trafficking, abandonment or death at the hands of selfish parents and guardians who are seeking only to benefit themselves.
Please protect all the children of the world and give them a safe, comfortable, tender, gentle, attentive and loving environment to grow up in.
Amen.

Obsessed With Power
In this world, some people are obsessed with power, which comes from self-love. They seek to benefit themselves by dominating others, having power over others and being served by others. This makes them feel greater than and more important than others.
The next world is dominated by the power of love of others. It's about serving others, doing good to others and and seeking to benefit others in a positive and constructive way.

- No angels can be seen with me (Quran 6:8, Sahih) (Just because you can't see any angels with me doesn't mean there are no angels with me.)
- Not rich, no treasure (Quran 11:12, Sahih)
- No sign (Quran 6:37, Sahih)
- Revelations are gradual, not all at once (Quran 25:32, Sahih)

A Warning: Parties Are A Complete Waste Of Resources
Parties are a complete waste of money, time, energy and other resources, resources that could be better used elsewhere to improve the lives of others for the better.
Cities that have parties needs to stop this behaviour because this behaviour is not a good sight in the eyes of God:
Cities that have parties needs to stop this behaviour because this behaviour is not a good sight in the eyes of God:
- The Calgary Stampede [1]: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- In 2013, Alberta flooded [2] on account of The Calgary Stampede.
- The Running Of The Bulls [3], Spain.
- The economic crisis that is affecting Spain [4] is on account of, among other things, bull fighting and the running of the bulls.
- The Jersey Shore [5]: New Jersey, USA.
- In 2012, Hurricane Sandy damaged and flooded the city [6] on account of the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City.
- Mardi Gras (part of Carnival) [7]: New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
- In 2005, Hurricane Katrina [8] damaged and flooded the city on account of Mardi Gras and corruption within the city.
- Carnival [9]: Various cities around the world, most notably Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- There are other examples as well.
This is a warning from The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Stop your behaviour and return to God: In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Free Choice
Do you have free choice? Yes and no. It depends on your perception of reality:
Copyright © 2014, Carter Kagume. All Rights Reserved.
- Before you go through a change in the perception of your reality, you believe that you have free choice. You think that you're in control and that you make decisions about every aspect of your life.
- After you go through a change in the perception of your reality, you realize that you're actually a puppet, you don't have free choice and you've never had free choice.
- Eventually you come to realize that you do have free choice but it's about one thing: To bring contentment to The Creator or not.
- Even after this, you're still not sure that you're the one choosing because The Creator controls everything.
Ultimately, your perception IS your reality. If you perceive and believe that you have free choice, then you have free choice because that's what you perceive and believe. Keep in mind that there's a difference between what we perceive and believe, and The Truth.

New Systems Render Older Systems Obsolete
Advances in technology can render older technologies obsolete. A good example of this is cell phone technology, which has leapfrogged [1] landline technology in many parts of the world.
Landline penetration is high in developed countries, but there are only a few landlines in underdeveloped and developing nations. Now, many people in underdeveloped and developing nations who don't have landlines, have cell phones.
It's projected that there are over 7 billion active cell phones in the world today [2], about equal to the world's current population of over 7 billion people. [3]
I present the above example as an analogy.
Today, we're all immersed in selfishness, pursuing wealth and material possessions as our primary objective. However, there are only a few wealthy people in the world. Most of us are struggling to make ends meet, living hand to mouth or living in abject poverty.
If we connect with each other in mutual bestowal and if we seek to benefit others instead of ourselves, we'll create a new way of living that will render the old way of living obsolete.
We'll leapfrog the pursuits of the quality of selfishness and we'll begin to live in the quality of bestowal. We'll stop pursuing wealth and material possessions because we'll have new priorities and new goals: In everything we do, we'll seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

The First Jesus And The Second Jesus
When Jesus was 12 years old, his parents found him in the temple courts listening to the teachers and asking them questions (Luke 2:41-52, NIV), which means he was learning, he wasn't born with Godly knowledge. In verse 52 it says that 'Jesus grew in wisdom', meaning he wasn't born with Godly wisdom, he learned it over time. This applies to both The First Jesus and The Second Jesus.
We also know that Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his ministry. (Luke 3:23, NIV). This applies to both The First Jesus and The Second Jesus.
Isaiah says that "a little child will lead them" (Isaiah 11:6, NIV), which applies to The One, who The Second Jesus is a part of. The Quran says that Jesus spoke to 'people in the cradle and in maturity'. (Quran 5:110, Sahih) This applies only to The Second Jesus.

All Of Creation Is Telling A Story
All of creation is interconnected and contributes to the telling of an arc-story and it's sub-stories. Here are examples from all of nature:
- The Still Level: A star signaled the birth of Jesus. (Matthew 2:1-2, NIV)
- The Vegetative Level: Jesus pointed out that a fig tree with tender shoots and new leaves signals that summer is near. (Matthew 24:32, NIV)
- The Animate Level: Jesus told Peter that a rooster would crow, which would signal that he had disowned Jesus. (Matthew 26:34, NIV)
Jesus explained in great detail the sign of the end times, which includes wars, famine, earthquakes, false messiahs and false prophets who perform great signs and wonders etc. (Matthew 24:1-35, NIV)
There are some people who can 'read' the signs in nature, and some can even predict events and outcomes based on their ability to interpret these signs. Some people are very sensitive to changes in their environment and they can understand what those changes mean.
We all need to get to a point where we understand that all of Nature is interconnected and interdependent and that all of nature contributes to the telling of an arc-story and it's sub-stories.

HOW We See Reality Versus WHAT We See In Reality
Updated Aug 26, 2014
WORK IN PROGRESS:
This post is a work in progress and is subject to changes, revisions, edits and deletions. I've presented it here to give you an idea of a general concept; however, I'm not sure I've done a very good job explaining it. Please bear with me as I continue to work through this.
The Bible and The Quran both talk about the blind being able to see (Isaiah 35:5, NIV and Quran 3:49, Sahih).
There are two ways that we can see. The first is HOW we see reality and the second is WHAT we see in reality. Let me explain:

The Bible and The Quran both talk about the blind being able to see (Isaiah 35:5, NIV and Quran 3:49, Sahih).
There are two ways that we can see. The first is HOW we see reality and the second is WHAT we see in reality. Let me explain:
- HOW We See Reality:
- This has to do with perception of reality. For example, if I see deer in the back yard, I may see it as a bad thing because I don't want deer eating my flowers. But if I go through a change in the perception of my reality, my eyes will be opened and I'll perceive reality in a new way. I'll see that the deer symbolize bestowal and peacefulness, therefore I'll see them as a good thing. It's the same event, just perceived differently.
- Another example is that I often write about being immersed in the quality of selfishness. At the same time, I write about already being in bestowal. This may seem like a contradiction, but it's not. Today, we're all immersed in selfishness, we haven't gone through a change in the perception our reality. When we do, we'll eventually realize that we were always in bestowal. It's the same events perceived differently. This is HOW we see reality. Our eyes will be opened to a new perception of reality.
- Note that in this world we grow from childhood to adulthood. When we go through a change in the perception of our reality, we also grow from childhood to adulthood.
- WHAT We See In Reality:
- There are a number things that may affect WHAT we see in reality:
- a) Our Individual Growth and Development:
- We're born as infants and we grow to become adults. As we grow our needs change. For example, when we're babies we 'see' pacifiers, when we're toddlers we 'see' toys, when we're school children we 'see' books, when we're young adults we 'see' relationships, when we're adults we see 'jobs, families and houses' etc. What we see in reality changes - depending on our age, growth and development. The things we 'see' may have always been there, but we weren't old enough to really 'see' them. For example, a baby may play with car keys, but she doesn't really understand what a car is or what keys are.
- Note that in this world we grow from childhood to adulthood and what we 'see' depends on our age, growth and development. When we go through a change in the perception of our reality, we also grow from childhood to adulthood and what we 'see' in the new perception of reality, also depends on our age, growth and development in that new perception of reality.
- b) Desire And Fulfillment:
- Imagine that you need a ruler but you don't have one, then you forget all about it. A week later, you find a ruler on the ground, the ruler 'appears' and you remember, 'I need a ruler'. So you pick it up and use it. You had a desire and it was fulfilled. I'm not saying that you should keep everything you find, not at all. There are instances when it's appropriate to return things that you find. However, sometimes, things are just given to you because you desire them. Desire and fulfillment affects WHAT we see in reality.
- c) Timelines:
- Unbeknownst to us, we move through timelines and the different timelines have subtle differences. For example, sometimes you may notice that things are missing. Let's say you're at home and you're looking for your favourite cup, but you can't find it anywhere. Was it left in a previous timeline? Missed in a general <select all>, <copy> and <paste>? As you look for it, you desire it. Later that day you find it in an obscure place. Did they go back and get it? Missing laundry socks fall into this category.
- Sometimes it's about noticing new things. For example, let's say you're at home looking out the window and for the first time you notice that there's a bird's nest in the tree outside. You think, 'Was it always there? How come I never noticed it before? Is it new?'
- Moving through timelines affects WHAT we see in reality.
- d) The Mirror Effect:
- This one is kind of weird, so brace yourself and don't be afraid. Imagine that you're standing next to someone and you can see them, but they can't see you. You assume that they can see you, but they can't. They exist is your world, but you don't exist in their world. Now imagine if it were the other way around, if other people could see you, but you couldn't see them. You exist in their world, but they don't exist in your world. This may have to do with The Mirror Effect, the fact that reality is a mirror of who we are. What we see on the outside is a reflection of who we are on the inside. The Mirror Effect affects WHAT we see in reality.
- Another example is that you may be able to see things that other people can't or other people may be able to see things that you can't. For example, let's say you're sitting with your friend and you see a dog walk by and she doesn't or perhaps she sees a car drive by and you don't. You're living in two different worlds because of The Mirror Effect.
- e) Other Factors:
- There may be other factors that affect WHAT we see in reality.
Now of course everything is interconnected - our growth and development, desires and fulfillments, movements through timelines and The Mirror Effect. They don't exist exclusively of each other. For example, as you grow you may get to an age when you need a ruler, the desire is fulfilled and you 'find' a ruler, you may have moved through timelines to 'find' it, and the ruler you find on the outside becomes a mirror of the ruler you desired on the inside.
There's a difference between HOW we see reality and WHAT we see in reality. While it may seem very confusing, it's actually quite simple - in everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

We're Surrounded By Love
What's the worst thing you've ever done? Are you filled with remorse? Racked with guilt? Filled with regret? Or perhaps it's something horrible that's happened to you and you just can't get over it. It eats you up inside and turns you inside out.
Imagine if someone told you that all the horrible things that you've done weren't horrible at all, they were acts of bestowal. Or imagine if someone told you that all the horrible things that have happened to you weren't horrible at all, they were acts of bestowal.
This may seem hard to believe. It's hard to imagine that such a thing is possible, especially when you think about your life, or see so many bad things happening in the world around you, things that effect you and others negatively. But such a thing is possible and it will change your life completely.
God is love and He has a way of making everything right. Everything negative becomes positive, darkness turns to light. Soon you'll come to realize this.
You'll come to realize that you're not a horrible person and that nothing horrible has ever happened to you. We're surrounded by love. All your negative feelings will disappear, they'll vanish. The heaviness within your heart will be lifted and your life will be changed completely.
Not to say that we should engage in or continue to engage in negative behaviour, not at all. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Capital Punishment
Does capital punishment assume that God doesn't exist? Do people assume that God is using them to exact His vengeance?
There's an interesting story in the book of Acts about Ananias and his wife Sapphira, who dropped dead because they sneakily withheld money and lied about it. (Acts 5:1-11, NIV)
In God we trust? I don't think so. We don't trust God, we trust ourselves. We don't rely on God, we rely on ourselves. Today we're all immersed in the quality of selfishness. We've written laws to protect ourselves from each other, but these laws have been written within the quality of selfishness.
We need to change. We have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

David And Bathsheba
There's the story of David and Bathsheba and how David took another man's woman, then there's my story and how I took another woman's man.
David and Bathsheba:
"2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, 3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, "She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite." 4. Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her." (2 Samuel 11, NIV)
Here's My Story:
On more than one occasion, I've been in a situation where I've slept with a married man, a man in a relationship or a man involved with another woman. In one instance, the other woman was a close friend of mine.
This doesn't mean that people have free license to do whatever they want. Not at all. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Love Your Friend As Yourself
Love your friend as yourself means you stand ready to fulfill the desires of each and every one.
When we do good to others, we touch them in two ways:
- First, the good we do to them improves their lives and it benefits them in a positive and constructive way, and
- Second, people instinctually sense other people's internality - call it a vibe, a feeling, spider senses, a look - there's just something you pick up and you KNOW if someone is for you or not, if they love you or not. So if we do good to other out of love, they'll sense it and it'll touch them even more deeply. In fact, it will awaken within them a reciprocal love.
If we all seek to benefit others instead of ourselves, we'll become connected in mutual bestowal.

Go With The Flow And Grow
As we grow, we change on the inside and as we change on the inside, reality also changes on the outside because reality is a mirror of who we are. What you see on the outside matches/mirrors/reflects who we are on the inside.
We need to keep growing, which means that reality needs to keep changing. So don't become attached to things on the outside. Just go with the flow, and grow.

Don't Worry If You Don't Understand
If you don't understand some of the things I write about, don't worry about it. A time will come when you will understand and you'll remember, 'This is what she was talking about'.

We Only Need Two Laws
There are countless laws in this world, but the only two laws we need are:
- Love your friends and neighbours as yourself, and
- Love God with all your heart, soul and mind. (Matthew 22:36-40, NIV)
From the love of friends you come to the love of God. You can't love God and hate your friends and neighbours. First, learn to love your friends and neighbours, by seeking to benefit them instead of yourself, which will bring you to the love of God.

Prayer
What you feel in the innermost part of your heart is what you're saying to The Creator. You don't have to open your mouth or come up with a lot of things to say to Him.
You may be saying one thing with your mouth, but feeling another in your heart. If you want to change what you're saying to The Creator, change your innermost part, change your heart.

Seeing & Hearing Other Frequencies
There are infinite frequencies in nature and our eyes and ears only see and hear a small fraction. Just because we can't see, hear or measure other frequencies, doesn't mean they don't exist.
For some reason, some people can see and/or hear things outside the 'normal' range. This doesn't mean they're crazy, it just means they can see and/or hear more.
There are a few examples in The Bible of this ability to see and/or hear what others can't:

The Sports Industry - A First Class Distraction
Edited Oct 16, 2014
Sports is a big deal. Plunkett Research, Ltd. estimates the world wide sports market to be USD $1.5 trillion. [1]
The most popular competitive sports in the world are soccer/football, American football, baseball, Formula 1, basketball, hockey, tennis, golf and other sports.
While engaging in sports to improve one's health is a positive thing, aggressive competitive sports is a negative thing. But before we get to that, here's why some people may think competitive sports is a positive thing:
Competitive sports may seem to some to have a positive impact because:
We have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. We have to connect with each other in mutual concern and consideration. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

- For some, it's their livelihood, it puts food on the table.
- For athletes, it's a way for them to showcase their talents, to push themselves to the limit and to achieve an incredible level of fitness.
- Sports unites people because fans join together to support their team.
- Sporting events give people a lot of pleasure because people really enjoy sitting in front of the TV with family and friends having drinks and snacks.
- It gives people something to do. What else are you going to do, right? Mhhh...
- It brings meaning to people's lives because it gives people purpose - to cheer on their team.
- There may be other reasons as well.
- For one thing, it's a first class distraction:
- Watching endless hours of competitive sports distracts people from their lives, from focusing on what's really important, from truly connecting with family, friends and other people and from engaging in meaningful acts that benefit humanity and all of nature.
- It's only a game:
- Competitive sports has been made glamorous by aggressive marketing practices, by multi-million dollar athletes and by professional analysis in suits who present endless statistics making the sport look more important than it actually is. It's reality TV at its finest. The whole spectacle is treated very seriously. Yet when you strip away all the nonsense, all you're left with is a bunch of grownup chasing a ball around a field. It's quite ridiculous to see.
- When children get too serious about their games, adults often remind them that it's just a game. Yet when adults get too serious about their games, everyone gets caught up in the excitement and nobody stops to point out the obvious, that it's just a game.
- It's a complete waste of time:
- Adults spend hours watching sports on TV, yet they hypocritically limit how many hours their children spend watching TV or playing video games. (For your information, a 2013 estimate by Entertainment Software Association (ESA) shows that the video game industry is worth over USD $21 billion. [2]) Adults want their children to spend time doing more productive things. Shouldn't adults be held to the same standard?
- Competitive sports is a never ending soap opera that has a new story line every year, every other year or every four years depending on the event. It traps people year after year because each year, fans endlessly hope that their team will win.
- It's a complete waste of money:
- With rising ticket prices, expensive merchandising and memorabilia, costly drinks and snacks at stadiums, audiences are paying more - paying for multi-million dollar salaries.
- The 2014 World Cup is being hosted by Brazil. [3] Protesters feel, and rightfully so, that the money their government has spent getting ready for the games, estimated to be around USD $11 billion [4], could have been better spent elsewhere. With a population of over 202 million people and with 21.4% of Brazilians living below the poverty line [5], they have a point. In this YouTube video, John Oliver humorously explains how FIFA, a tax exempt, not-for-profit organization with a billion dollar reserve, bullies host countries to get their way [6] :
- ------
- ------
- While countries often build new infrastructure to accommodate international sporting events, such as the World Cup and the Olympics, sometimes these facilities are only used once, then they're abandoned. [7][8] This lack of foresight is a complete waste of money. You'd think that the long-term use of such expensive facilities would be part of the decision making process - from where to host the games, to where to build the facilities - but obviously it's not.
- Another way people waste their money? Gambling. A 2013 estimate shows that the global sports betting industry is worth up to USD $1 trillion, with an estimated 70% of that trading on soccer/football [9]. Money that is wasted on gambling could have been used to benefit other people and/or nature.
- It's a complete waste of resources:
- The industry ties up talented, intelligent, strong, coordinated, energetic and driven people, who could better spend their time elsewhere, benefiting humanity and all of nature.
- Abandoned sports buildings are a drain on natural resources because the materials used to build the buildings are wasted. That material could have been used to build other things.
- While competitive sports preaches unity, the entire spectacle is driven by selfish interests:
- The very nature of competitive sports pits athletes, towns and countries against each other. This increases discord and hatred.
- Fans may unite to support their team, but they selfishly want their own team to win. They don't care about the other team. Keep in mind, that if one team wins, another team has to lose. One team's gain is another team's loss.
- Sports teams praise team effort, yet individual athletes, coaches and owners selfishly seek their own personal profit and gain by seeking the best deals, contracts, endorsements etc.
- It's dangerous:
- Competitive athletes use dangerous drugs to enhance their performance, they put their lives at risk, all for the sake of a game.
- Fans can get extremely excited, engaging in dangerous, exuberant and/or drunken behaviour, leading to accidents, fights, riots, injury and even death.
- Sports on TV promotes inactivity and unhealthy habits such as sitting for hours at a time, drinking beer and eating potato chips.
- Abandoned sports facilities may have a negative impact on their local environment.
- It's unfair:
- When it comes to competitive sports, it's ridiculous to think that the guy who runs the 100M in 9.63 seconds gets all the glory, while the guy who runs it in 9.75 seconds is virtually unheard of. [10] It doesn't make any sense.
We have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. We have to connect with each other in mutual concern and consideration. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

A Lonely Star
What use is money when there's a lonely star on the other side of the universe? Money can't buy universal love. Money can't buy love for all of creation.

Your Thoughts Create Reality
The choices you make in your thoughts, manifest in reality. If you choose a good thought over a bad thought, then that good thought manifests in reality. If you choose a bad thought over a good thought, then that bad thought manifests in reality.
Reality then become a mirror of you, a mirror of all the choices you've made. What you see on the outside, is a reflection of who you are on the inside. If you want to change what you see on the outside, then you have to change who you are on the inside.
We all have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

Getting To Bestowal
There are two paths we can take to get to bestowal:
- We can volunteer and consciously decide that mutual bestowal is better than personal selfishness. Of this it is written, "My heart is with Israel's princes, with the willing volunteers among the people." (Judges 5:9, NIV)
- Nature will push us to connect and we won't like it. While there's no coercion in spirituality, nature will give us such horrendous conditions in the quality of selfishness that we'll desperately seek an alternative, mutual bestowal.
Either way, we're going to get to mutual bestowal because that's the purpose of creation. How we get there is up to us.

Zelicah And Joseph
There's the story of Zelicah and how she yearned for Joseph, then there's my story and how I yearn for God.
Zelicah and Joseph:
"And Zelicah [fn 1] became very ill on account of her desire toward Joseph, and she was desperately lovesick on account of him, and all the people of the house of Zelicah and her husband knew nothing of this matter, that Zelicah was ill on account of her love to Joseph." (The Book Of Jasher 44:36) [1][2][fn2]
Here's My Story:
I yearn for God. I'm love sick. I feel ill. I don't feel well. I'm pregnant with love. I have morning sickness. Physically, it feels as though I'm under construction, undergoing a transformation, changing from hatred to love, from caterpillar to pupa to butterfly, and it hurts. But it's not just about me, it's about all of creation.
Nothing satisfies or satiates me except God Himself. His kindness, benevolence, and gentleness turns me on and His touch penetrates the very fiber of my being, so much so that I completely lose myself. Nothing compares to Him. He is my only remedy, my only relief, my only fulfillment. I need Him and only Him.

Altruistic Communism
Communism is simply sharing. Altruistic communism is divine connection.
Communism failed because it was implemented for the sake of man, to benefit man; whereas, it should have been implemented for the sake of The Creator, to bring contentment to The Creator. They tried to implement a spiritual system without God in the pivotal role. God has to be front and center, the focus of attention. Also, communism was forced upon people, whereas there's no coercion in spirituality.
American propaganda against communism has left the world nervous about socialist programs that seek to benefit others. Capitalism has been touted as the answer to the world's problems. It's not. The answer won't come from politics or economics but only from connection.
We have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal and we have to connect with each other in mutual concern and consideration, where everyone is seeking to benefit others instead of themselves.
We have to understand that we're all equal and we have to start treating each other as such. However, just because we're equal doesn't mean we're all the same. We're all equal, but we're different. We all have different skills and talents.
For example, today tycoons use jets to fly around the world to make selfish deals that benefit themselves and/or increase shareholder value for their selfish organizations.
When we connect in mutual bestowal, tycoons will still exist, but they'll fly around the world in jets to make deals that benefit all of humanity and the entire world.
Not everyone will use jets because not everyone will need to, but jets will be available to those who need them.
Everyone will have the necessary resources to live up to their true potential, so they can seek to benefit others instead of themselves to the maximum of their ability.
