Birth And Labour Pains

Updated July 27, 2014

WORK IN PROGRESS:
This post is a work in progress and is subject to changes, revisions, edits and deletions. I've presented it here to give you an idea of a general concept; however, I'm not sure I've done a very good job explaining it. Please bear with me as I continue to work through this.

When it comes to birth and labour pains, there are three scenarios:
  1. NO PAIN, NO BIRTH:
    • " ...you who never bore a child ... you who were never in labor ..." (Isaiah 54:1. NIV)
    • In this world, I've never given birth, never been in labour.
    • Also, until 2005, I had never given birth to a new state of bestowal.
  2. FIRST A PERSON HAS PAIN, THEN GIVES BIRTH:
    • "As a pregnant woman about to give birth writhes and cries out in her pain ..." (Isaiah 26:17, NIV)
    • The diagram below explains this scenario.
  3. FIRST A PERSON GIVES BIRTH, THEN HAS PAIN:
    • "Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this?" (Isaiah 66:7-8, NIV)
    • The diagram below explains this scenario.
