The Bad 1 and The Good 1

With respect to love, there's the bad 1 and the good 1:
  1. The Bad 1:
    • Self-love is about one person - me, myself and I. A person immersed in personal selfishness seeks to benefit themselves with no regard for others. They pursue their own selfish interests, seeking personal profit and gain.
    • Selfishness leaves us isolated, alone and unhappy.
    • The bad 1 is about individualism. It's about personal selfishness. It's about me, myself and I.
  2. The Good 1:
    • True love is about seeking to benefit others, so there has to be at least 2 people, at least another person, you and somebody else. Two people can become so interconnected that they become one.
      • Some wedding ceremonies include language that explains how a man and a woman become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24, NIV)
    • You can have 7 billion people who are united as one, united with one mind and one heart.
    • The seal of the United States of America [1] reads in Latin 'E pluribus unum', which means 'Out of many, one'.
    • There is only One God. (Quran 16:51, Sahih)
    • The good 1 is about connection. It's about mutual bestowal. It's about others.
    • It's also about many:
      • Our body has many parts but it's one body.
      • Our town has many streets but it's one town.
      • Our state has many towns but it's one state.
      • Our country has many states but it's one country.
      • Our world has many counties but it's one world.
      • Our universe has many galaxies but it's one universe.
