- I harm another because I want to enjoy. I'm certain that the other is suffering, but I ignore that because I want to enjoy. The intention isn't to harm the other, the intention is to benefit myself.
- Worse still, is when I harm the other and that gives me joy. The joy comes from the other's trouble. My intention is to harm him.
Our thoughts and desires may not be transparent in this corporeal world, but they're transparent in the spiritual realm. Be completely honest with yourself about your innermost thoughts and desires. God sees the heart.
We have to change from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.
