Religion in and of itself is not the answer. Connection is the answer.
Religion serves a purpose: It teaches us about God, it introduces us to the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, it comforts people when they're hurting, it calms people down and it gives people a sense of community and belonging.
However, religion is a means to an end. That end being connection with each other and with God Himself. From the love of friends we come to the love of God.
We have to rise above our egos and hatred, and connect with each other in mutual bestowal. In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.
Connection is the answer.
