Things will get worse before they get better, but just like a pregnant woman who has to go through labour before she gives birth, the blows that come will be purposeful.
God wants us to return to Him and He's going to bring us out of selfishness into bestowal. This return to God will be a process with various phases. When the blows come, don't focus on the blows, focus on The One from whom the blows come. Stay calm and remember, we're all in this together. Do not be afraid, God is with us.
Eventually you'll come to realize that there are no blows, we're surrounded by love.
