The Man Who Went To See The King

A city had fallen into disrepair on account of the corruption in the land.

A man set out on a long journey to see The King. He knew The King would help restore the land to its former glory.

The journey to The King was arduous - over mountains, through valleys, through hot and cold weather, through dangerous terrain - yet the man persevered and journeyed on.

When he got to The King, The King told him that he had plans to destroy the city. The man pleaded with The King to find another way.

Eventually, the man returned to the city and began to warn people to change their ways. Nobody knew that he had been to see The King. After a while, some people began to listen to him.

One day, when the man was with some friends, the guards of the city came to him and reminded him how powerful they were. In fear, one of his friends said, "They're after you, not me."

Though he felt alone, he was with The King, and what mattered most to him was that the city be restored to its former glory and he continued to tell people to change their ways.
