We have to change from personal selfishness (seeking to benefit ourselves) to mutual bestowal (seeking to benefit others).
Keep in mind that rising above our egos isn't the goal. Connection is the goal. We have to rise above our egos, stop harming others, then seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.
