We are the desire and God is the fulfillment, meaning, what we desire, God fulfills. We have to express our desire first, in order for God to fulfill it. The desire comes first, then the fulfillment.
Our entire lives have been designed to bring us out of the quality of selfishness into the quality of bestowal. All the pressures, troubles and stresses that we face are purposeful - designed to make us discontent with our lives so we want for more, designed to make us despair of the things of this world (the quality of selfishness), so we're ready for the things of the next world (the quality of bestowal).
How much longer are you going to wallow in your misery, emptiness and despair? Another day? Week? Month? Year? Years? The forces won't let up because we're expected to grow, to change from selfishness to bestowal.
But we have to ask.
The request has to come from us. Be sincere, speak from your heart, cry, scream, rant and rave. Do whatever you have to do to express your desire.
Send a heartfelt cry to The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Ask Him to help you and He will. But you have to ask. Just ASK.

God Responds To Our Desires
God knows exactly what you're going through right now, but what's missing is your request, you have to ask Him for help.
If God is male and we (all human beings) are female, then just as a gentleman in this realm doesn't impose himself on a woman, so too God doesn't impose Himself on us.
In this realm, generally, men initiate relationships with women. But when it comes to our relationship with God, we (the female) have to initiate the relationship with God. We have to express our desires to Him, then He responds to our desires. We are the desires and He is the fulfillment.
So ask The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to help you and He will.

How To Talk To God
God knows your heart, meaning He knows what's going on inside of you. He knows what you want, what you desire, what's in your heart.
You don't have to talk to God with words, you can, but it's not necessary. God knows your internal desires and prayer comes from the heart.
As it's written, " ... God knows what’s in your hearts." (Luke 16:15, NOGB) and " ... Allah knows what is in their hearts ... " (Quran 4:63, Sahih).
Here are three examples that show you three different states:
First example: If I pray with words that I repent and return to God, but I don't desire it in my heart, then my words are empty because they don't reflect the true desires of my heart. My heart wants one thing and my words say another.
Second example: If I pray with words that I repent and return to God, and in my heart I desire it, then my words reflect the true desires of my heart. Prayer comes from the heart. I use words to express the desires of my heart.
Third example: If I don't say a word, but in my heart I repent and I desires to return to God, then this is also a prayer, because prayer comes from the heart.
When you talk to God, feel it, want it and desire it. God knows your heart, He knows what's going on inside of you. Express your internal desires to God and He'll listen.
Pray to The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Express your desires to Him and to Him alone. There is none else besides Him.
