Don't Commit Suicide, Kill The Ego

When life gets really challenging, don't commit suicide, don't kill the physical body, kill the internal quality of selfishness. Here are some things to think about:
  1. Where Do Suicidal Thoughts Come From?
    • Suicidal thoughts (and all negative and destructive thoughts) come from the quality of selfishness. The quality of selfishness is responsible for all the problems in the world and it wants to harm us, others and all of Nature.
    • We have to rise above our egos, stop harming ourselves, others and all of Nature, and seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.
    • We have to change from personal selfishness (where we seek to benefit ourselves) to mutual bestowal (where we seek to benefit others).
  2. Why Do we Suffer?
    • Suffering Softens The EgoThe reason we experience stresses in our lives is because suffering soften the ego. When we suffer, we're more likely to cry out to The Creator to help us. The 'negative' things we experience are actually positive things because they're purposeful, intended to bring us back to God. Remember, we're never given any more than we can bear.
    • We're Expected To GrowWe're expected to grow from selfishness to bestowal. As a result, Nature pressures us to change.
    • Use Your PainWhen you feel bad, don't give up and decide it's all over. Not at all. Use your pain and cry out to God, ask Him to help you and He will. But you have to ASK, it has to come from you and it has to be sincere.
    • Perception: Suffering is a matter of perception. The Truth is that nothing bad has ever happened to us, others or all of Nature. We're surrounded by love, we just have to realize it.
  3. When Giving Up Is A Good Thing:
    • Giving up is a good thing because it means you're tired and fed up, but killing yourself isn't a good thing. We have to get to a point where we resign, where we admit that we can't do it any more. When we reach this breaking point, cry out to God, ask Him to help you and He will.
    • Some people try and fix their problems - they fight them, live with them, ignore them, accept them etc., but we're not meant to be miserable permanently. The blows are purposeful, intended to bring us from selfishness to bestowal. So demand a change and it will come, but you have to ASK.
  4. There's Only One You:
    • We're all pieces of one puzzle and there's only one you. No one can fill your role for you, you're the only person who can do it. I have to go through my stuff and rise above my ego, and you have to go through your stuff and rise above your ego. When we both do that, we connect in mutual bestowal.
    • You can't give your work to somebody else because nobody else can do it. Besides, would you want anybody else doing your work for you?
    • We don't know what happens to us after we die. If we haven't finished our work here, are we sent back here to finish it? You're already here, so you might as well do everything you can to change from selfishness to bestowal.
  5. Don't Expect A Good Life, Expect To Be Transformed:
    • Don't expect 'the good life', a life abundantly full of food, sex, family, money, honour, knowledge, power etc. If you don't have these things, it's okay. As long as your basic needs are met, you're fine.
    • Instead, expect to be transformed from personal selfishness to mutual bestowal.
    • If you want to change, you'll be helped, but YOU have to want to change.
  6. Be Strong and Be Brave:
    • The harder it is, the stronger you have to be. Be strong, be brave and do not be afraid.
If you have suicidal thoughts and/or if you're struggling to cope, reach out to your family, friends, doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, faith group and/or local community support groups. Remember, we're all in this together and we'll succeed, but only together.

In everything we do, we should seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.
Do not be afraid. God is with us.

Do Not Commit Suicide

Do not commit suicide. If you're hurting in any way shape or form, reach out to your family, friends, doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, faith leader and/or local community support groups. There are many people who can help. If you know someone who's hurting, reach out to them. We're all in this together.

There's no such thing as the 'perfect' life, there's just life and we're all living it. All the ads, shows, ideas about the 'perfect' life are all an illusion, designed to make us buy things. It's simply aggressive marketing - they make us feel bad and then they tell us that their products will make us feel better. All lies.

We all have our challenges. Every single person is going through something - different things, at different times, at different degrees of intensity.

Nobody is alone. Not one single person is alone. You may feel alone, but you're not. You may feel that your life is more difficult than other people's lives, but nobody's life is 'perfect'.

Our entire lives have been arranged to bring us out of the quality of selfishness into the quality of bestowal. The stresses, pressures and difficulties that we experience are all purposeful. Nothing happens by chance, there are no coincidences, everything is by design.

Trust me and listen to me and know this: We're surrounded by love, we just have to realize it. Eventually, we'll come to realize that we've never done anything bad to anyone and nothing bad has ever happened to us, or others. Our lives are already PERFECT. We just have to realize it.

No matter what happens, do not be afraid. Be brave, be strong and take heart.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide us, may He lead us and may He show us the way.

God is with us and to Him we shall all return.

One Million Dollars And The Loss Of Wealth

Is one million dollars a lot of money? It depends:
  • If you have $1 billion and end up with $1 million, then no, it's not a lot of money.
  • If you have $2 million and end up with $1 million, then no, it's not a lot of money.
  • If you have $10,000 and end up with $1 million, then yes, it's a lot of money.
When it comes to the loss of wealth, who suffers the most, who's the most affected? The rich. Even though they end up with $1 million, they experienced a greater sense of loss.

This sense of loss happens because we define ourselves by our money and material possessions. The more we have, the greater we think we are.

Also, we're emotionally attached to our money and material possessions, so when we lose them, we feel hurt, upset and distraught.

Yet we're not our money or material possessions and our emotional attachment to them is misplaced. Money and material possessions should not define who we are.

The loss of wealth can be a hard thing to accept. When it happens, stay calm and focus on meeting your basic needs - food, water, clothing, shelter and healthcare.

The loss of wealth is not the end of the world. It's only money, so don't worry about it. Let it go. Suicide is never an option. Don't ever kill yourself. Never! Don't ever kill yourself over the loss of wealth. Never!

With respect to wealth, ask yourself, what's the worst thing that can happen? You lose all your wealth. So what? Does that mean you lose yourself? No. It means you find a new simple way to live.

Remember, we're all in this together. Do not be afraid. God is with us.

What Are You Ready To Die For?

Some people are ready to die for their country, a cause, their honour, a worldly relationship etc. You may think this is noble, but it's rooted in the quality of selfishness.

The only thing worth dying for is love, true love that is. Jesus said, "Greater love has no one that this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13, NIV)

I'm not talking about a biological death or the death of the physical body. I'm talking about the death of our internal quality of selfishness.

Are you willing to give up your selfish ways to benefit your friend instead? Are you willing to let your selfish nature die, so you can connect with others in mutual concern and consideration, seeking to benefit others instead of yourself?

Some people want to die to run away from their problems, but your problems are there to bring you to bestowal. Don't kill yourself, instead, cry out to The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Ask Him to help you and He will. Ask Him to change your internal qualities from selfishness to bestowal, and He will.

Do not be afraid. God is with us.

Feeling Bad Because Of What We Feel We Don't Have

One of the things that makes us feel bad is not what we have, but what we feel we don't have.

The reason this happens is because we're bombarded by advertisements and other influences (through the media, TV, the internet, magazines etc.), messages that tell us that our lives aren't good enough, that what we have isn't good enough, that to feel happier, we should buy certain products, goods, and services.

Of course, we can't afford to buy all these things (and the truth is that we don't actually need them), but nevertheless, a gap is created between the life that we have and the life that we think we should have. This gap makes us feel bad and we become unhappy and depressed because we remain perpetually unfulfilled.

One of the startling statistics is that every year, nearly 1 million people die from suicide, and Europe has one of the highest rates [1].

Europe is a developed area, yet mental health and depression are a major problem. People feel bad not because of what they have, but because of what they feel they don't have. This is a serious problem.

How can we solve this problem? How can we eliminate depression and suicide? How can we stop people from feeling bad based on what they feel they don't have?

Our internal qualities have to change from selfishness to bestowal and we have to seek to benefit others instead of ourselves.

As such, the aggressive marketing practices used by businesses will end, non-essential goods and services will disappear, people will be educated about mutual concern and responsibility and instead of seeking to benefit themselves (and thinking about what they don't have), they'll seek to benefit others.

May The One True God, The Infinite God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob guide us, may He lead us and may He show us the way. God is with us and to Him we shall all return.

Do Not Commit Suicide

Do not commit suicide.

God loves you and I love you. You're an important part of our family.

You're not alone. There are many people close to you who love you, care for you and want the best for you. We're all one family, each and every one of us.

Turn to God for support. Cry out to Him and command Him to help you. Demand it and insist upon it. He listens and He wants to help you, but you have to ask. Ask Him and He'll help you.

Also, turn to your family and friends for help. Turn to support groups in your local community. There are many people and organizations that can help you. You don't have to be alone. Lean on others and they'll help you.

Remember, we're all in this together. You, me and the next person.

You're not alone. God loves you and I love you. You're an important part of our family. We'll succeed, but only together.
